Vancouver has over 100 marijuana dispensaries operating, which exceeds the number of Tim Horton’s the city has. The dispensaries are technically not legal operations, but the Vancouver Police have been openly vocal that these operations are not a police priority. On June 24th 2015 regulations were announced to curb the ballooning numbers unregulated dispensaries. These new regulations will introduce an annual $30,000 license fee to retail operations selling marijuana.
